Madrid, the capital of textilism.

The  DNA association has  for several years attempted to obtain a naturist space in the city or in its surroundings. They do what they have to do, their efforts are always in vain. The local authorities, and I mean the department, don't give any kind of permission for naturist facilities, with the excuse that there is no civic interest even though documents with thousands of signatures, to help to make naturist facilities, were presented . 
Madrid continues without pool with hours for naturist use, without any recreational nudist space, and without any kind of center or club, apart from a solarium
( diminutive space only to take sun). 

After an entire summer, inspecting and visiting several places in the surroundings of the capital, the DNA association have decided to promote an area of  San Juan's swamp, in the south of the capital, for naturist use. New Naturist Association  in Cantarriján 

The  Cantarriján beach will have a naturist association called "The Barrack." 
Their goal is to promote the beach as a naturist center in this area of Andalusia. 

New  naturist center in Vera

The company Marenostrum SA. are building a new center in Vera. More details in the next edition. 

They imprison the editor of Todo Naturismo 

The director of Focus100 and editor of the naturist magazine Todo Naturismo,  was imprisoned in  December month by 33 days. The supposed crime was sexual abuse of smaller children.   Mr. Xavier López has now settled down in the naturist center of Vera, trying to rehabilitate the great mental stress, which was subjected by the authorities, due to this great injustice.

Vera's Mayor retires

After four consecutive sessions, which equals to 16 years as a mayor, the mayor who did a lot for naturism,  retires. But he will continue working to promote naturism. 

Naturism in Valencia

Two political parties in Valencia, the United Esquerra and the Els Verds of the País Valencià, have presented a proposition of change of Law to the Cortes Valencianas, requesting a change in the legislatures to enjoy the possible and continuous development of  the naturist sector. Also they request that sport facilities and areas which are used exclusively by naturists,  will be made available for the citizens and for tourists too. 

Management Changes at TN

The magazine Todo Naturismo changes management. Its new director is  Mr. Salvador Vali.

Naturist Unemployment

Diana Rosman, better known as   Jane from the English naturist magazine H&E,  has been made redundant by her company. That means; the textile management have sent her out in the cold. 
Jane saved, together with her friend Helen Ludbrook, the magazine after  the old publishers Peenhill collapsed.
 

Rick Perkings, pioneer of the nudism in USA, dies

Rick Perkings, a pioneer of the nudism in it USA, died last year. Rick Perkings was better known on the net as  the owner of the pages: "The Nudist Note Book". 
His more outstanding work was the compilation of some of the most complete American guides. An entire work life, that at the end only the pirates will be able to enjoy, as we commented a short while before his death, these people take everything from him and later they are the ones to be credited and praised all over the world, and so always having taken all the rewards. Our sympathy were with him and now more than ever! May our friend rest in peace.

1,769 US dollars were donated to charity by a Virtual Naturist company . The donation was possible due to a great campaign that the company carries out in the month of December. This consisted on donating 2 dollars to charity for each 25 spent in purchases. 
Most contributors were not naturists, if not clients of internet services and marketing. Nobody won the great price of a million dollars. Due to the great success of the campaign, the company will offer the same thing for next Christmas.
